Dr. B. Hygriv Rao is a Senior Consultant Cardiologist & Electrophysiologist, KIMS Hospitals, Secunderabad, India. He received his MBBS from Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad. He got his MD in General Medicine from Gandhi Hospital, Secunderabad. Dr. Rao completed his DM in Cardiology from GB Pant Hospital, New Delhi. His awards and Important Invited Lectures are DP Basu Award by CSI (2005); National CSI Annual meeting (2009, to 2012 every year); Kerala Heart Rhythm society (2011); Uma Rani Benerjee Oration (2012); AP CSI Annual meting (2006 to 2013 every year); ISECON Annual scientific sessions (2007- 2012 every year); APHRS 2013, Hong Kong (2013); and CARDIOSTIM, Nice, France (2014). He is an Editor - Electrophysiology section, Indian Heart Journal, and Section editor for Indian Pacing and Electrophysiology Journal (IPEJ). Dr. Rao participated in several national and international conferences as invited speaker. He has published more than 50 peer-reviewed papers.
